Huazhong University of Science and Technology Wuxi Research Institute was established in October 2012. It is a self-supporting institution jointly established by Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuxi Municipal People's Government and Huishan District People's Government. The institute focuses on the fields of digital equipment, machinery, new materials, electrical, optoelectronics and other industries, aiming at the high-performance parts manufacturing technology of aviation engines, advanced robot technology and high-end manufacturing equipment, and develops digital and intelligent equipment and technology. Independent innovation capability, development of new industrial technologies, training of high-level professionals, promotion of technological innovation capabilities and industrial transformation and upgrading in Wuxi. The institute is located in Huishan New City and has an independent research and development building with an area of 24,000 square meters. There are more than 130 people of various types, including more than 20 experts and professors, 20 doctors and more than 50 master students. 12 research and development projects have been completed.
